Anjali Sud, an American businesswoman of Indian descent has announced to step down as CEO of Vimeo. In a surprise move, Sud shared the development in an email to her colleagues.

Sud is stepping down as CEO in the coming months, after nine years at Vimeo to take on a new opportunity in a new space. She has not mentioned anything about her new opportunity. However, she indicated that she would pick up something totally different and unfamiliar.

“This may surprise people, and in truth, the process of reaching this decision has surprised me. I love my job and I love Vimeo - serving as CEO has been the privilege of my career, and I am filled with gratitude for every minute of this wild and wonderful ride,” reads a Linkedin post.

 SaaS veteran Adam Gross who is on the board as a director since going public in 2021, will step in as interim CEO.

“It’s impossible to express in a post the richness of my Vimeo experience over the years: the milestones reached, lessons learned, relationships built, the passion and care poured into the work. I’m posting my full email to the company here to shed a bit more light on that journey,” reads her post.
