The Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East, a trade association representing 623 airports, has announced the appointments of two senior executives.

Carrie Hurihanganui has been named as the Chief Executive Officer of Auckland International Airport Limited and Dr. Kijmanawat Kerati has been named as the President of Airports of Thailand Plc, effective January 2024.

The newly appointed senior executives will serve in their roles until December 31, 2026.

In her new role, Carrie becomes the third woman on the board of ACI APAC & MID, contributing to a more inclusive and balanced representation of genders within the board. She has been associated with Auckland Airport since February 2023 and previously served for more than 15 years at Air New Zealand as the Chief Operating Officer. On the other hand, Kerati was the former CEO of Airports of Thailand (AOT).

Welcoming Kerati and Carrie to the leadership board, Emmanuel Menanteau, the President of ACI APAC & MID, said, "We are delighted to welcome Ms. Hurihanganui and Dr. Kerati to the ACI APAC & MID board. They are already established leaders, and their extensive experience and expertise in the aviation industry will contribute to the achievement of our organization's objectives. It’s gratifying to see a diverse representation of women on our board."

Stefano Baronci, the Director General of ACI APAC & MID, added, “The election of Ms. Hurihanganui and Dr. Kerati brings a great balance of representation of members on the board from across the region. The selection of these highly-respected industry leaders demonstrates ACI APAC & MID's commitment to effectively representing the needs and interests of airports across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.”
