Liminal Custody, a leading platform for digital asset solutions, has announced the appointment of Dr Bhaskar Dasgupta as the Independent Non-Executive Board Member for its Abu Dhabi operations.

With the appointment of Dr Dasgupta, the digital asset consulting firm aims to elevate the digital asset and fintech landscape in the region.

Assuming this new role, Dr Dasgupta, a seasoned business leader, brings around 30 years of industry expertise across banking, financial markets, cryptocurrency, and technology. His expertise in regulatory oversight and strategic business development has played a pivotal role in shaping Abu Dhabi’s Financial Centre (ADGM) into the world’s largest regulated cryptocurrency jurisdiction. Additionally, under his leadership since 2019, ADGM has been instrumental in revolutionizing cryptocurrency regulation on a global scale. Prior to this, he served at UK Export Finance in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer and also held leadership positions at esteemed financial institutions, including HSBC, ABN AMRO, Citigroup, and PwC.
