Circles Company appoints Luke Lu as Chief People Officer

Circles, a Singapore-based technology company, has announced the appointment of Luke (Shao Chuan) Lu as Chief People Officer, with immediate effect.

In his new role, Luke brings over 18 years of HR leadership experience across telecom, e-learning, e-commerce, consulting, and manufacturing sectors. Most recently, he served as the Chief People Officer at LingoAce.

In previous roles, Luke worked with Lazada Group as the EVP of HR, McKinsey & Co. as the Engagement Manager and Expert, and Ooredoo Myanmar as the Deputy Chief People Officer and Talent Director. He also served at Ooredoo Qatar, ADA Cellworks, and Mitchell Mill Systems at the beginning of his career.

On the academic front, Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and International Economic Law from DUFL at DMU, along with a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD. His core competencies include strategic HR, performance management, talent acquisition, talent management, business strategy, workforce planning, HR policies, employee relations, organisational development, HR consulting, data analysis, and organisational design.

In addition to Luke, the company has also appointed Justin Choi as the Chief Financial Officer and Bart Weijermars as the Chief Customer Success Officer to lead global expansion, growth, and market leadership.
