Unilever names Mairead Nayager as Chief People Officer

Mairead Nayager will succeed Nitin Paranjpe as chief people officer who has decided to retire from the company later this year.
Unilever names Mairead Nayager as Chief People Officer

Unilever announced the appointment of Mairead Nayager as its Chief People Officer, effective June 1. Mairead will take over from Nitin Paranjpe who has decided to retire from the company later this year. Nitin has been serving in this role since January 2022.

In her current role, Mairead is serving as the chief human resources officer (CHRO) of Haleon, a British multinational consumer healthcare company. Before Haleoon, she worked with Diageo as a CHRO between 2015 and 2022.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mairead Nayager as our new Chief People Officer, effective 1 June. Mairead is currently Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Haleon plc, having previously served as CHRO of Diageo plc between 2015 and 2022,” said Unilever in a statement.

As chief people and transformation officer, Nitin is responsible for leading both human resources and the implementation of new compass organisation globally.

Nitin has had a 37-year career with Unilever, including as CEO of Hindustan Unilever, President - Home Care, President - Foods & Refreshments and Chief Operating Officer of Unilever.
