The advanced chip testing solutions provider AEM Holdings has appointed Chandran Nair as its Group President, effective from 1st January 2020.

He joins AEM from ST Engineering Land Systems, where he was heading the robotics and autonomous systems business as President. Nair comes with a rich experience of more than 20 years. Prior to ST Engineering he was working as Vice President for Asia Pacific at National Instruments.

Nair spent most of his career in National Instruments. He started his professional journey in 1997 as an Application Engineer at National Instruments. Later he went on to take many roles in the company from Product Manager to Managing Director SE Asia.

At National Instruments, Nair played a leadership role in the commercialization and global growth of its PXI platform.

Now, as the Group President at AEM, Nair's key focus will be on supporting the group’s global growth and new business units. He will also work with group’s Chief Executive Chok Yean Hung to deliver growth and expand AEM’s portfolio of products and services.

AEM Executive Chairman Loke Wai San has immense faith in Nair's capabilities. He believes that Nair's rich experience in semiconductor test and automation and a global track record of successfully scaling new business units through exceptional vision and talent management, will help AEM accelerate its growth.

Chok reiterated the same and said, "His ability to direct change and drive performance will be an asset to AEM’s executive management team."

Currently, AEM is keenly focusing on its growth and expansion. This phase of growth is so critical for AEM that it has created this new role of Group President especially to have a dedicated leader driving and supporting it. The criticality of this new role puts a lot responsibilities on Nair's shoulders, as he takes on his new assignment from January next year. Only time will tell how he utilizes his years of experience and knowledge to foster AEM's growth.
