Stockholm-headquartered cash handling company Loomis has announced the appointment of Aritz Larrea as  Group President and CEO, following the announcement in February of Patrik Andersson's upcoming retirement. According to the company, Larrea will take the helm on 1 August, and Andersson will continue in the role until then to ensure a smooth transition.

Larrea is presently Country President for Loomis US, a position he has held since 2018.  Prior to that, he was Country President for Spain. Before joining Loomis, he was CEO of security systems company Segur Iberica, where he spent about eight years and also previously held the position of CFO.

Loomis Chairman Alf Göransson said of the leadership change:

“Patrik Andersson has led the positioning of Loomis with a clear strategy for developing the core business but also moving up the value chain of cash management and new payment services. Aritz Larrea has as President of Loomis US showed strong leadership and great insights of the industry’s challenges. With Aritz as the new President and CEO, we secure continuity in the company and a continued powerful implementation of the Loomis strategy.”
