Transmira, a Raleigh based virtual reality and information technology company, recently announced a multimillion dollar seed funding round. The funding round is open for other investors as well with Ventek Ventures, Ayre Venture, and other family offices already being part of it. The funds raised will be leveraged to launch Transmira's Omniscape elements along with spearheading its market presence as the first fully blended AR/VR metaverse platform.

Commenting on the recent funding round, Robert Rice, Transmira CEO said, "Transmira's groundbreaking patent on virtual goods and 3D non-fungible tokens (NFTs) linked to real-world assets will be vital to driving the metaverse new virtual economy and commerce. Transmira is launching early Omniscape features, starting with tokenized virtual real estate, a 3D NFT Marketplace, MetaPetsTM, and more. In January, some of this will be visible at CES 2022 in Las Vegas". Rice further welcomed all the participating investors and plans on utilizing the capital raised on diverse aspects of the Omniscape platform in Q4.

Transmira's OmniscapeTM platform works on the idea of bringing 'location to life' improving businesses with enhanced user engagement and connections. The platform uses Augmented Reality (AR) with Virtual Reality vs. Virtual reality (VR) in the exciting new XR environment. The virtual reality solutions platform is focused on leading the metaverse development, co-relating and combining the physical world and infinite digital gaming space.

Rice believes XR (extended reality) along with geo-location as a new form of AR, which can aid business growth. XR uses customer location to assist them with relevant content thereby, scaling business development.

Tony Zhang, Founding Partner of Ventek Ventures said, "Ventek was the first investor in China's social metaverse Soul (now majority-owned by Tencent), we are very excited to work with Transmira and be part of the coming metaverse revolution. Their unique understanding of XR and its applications, combined with years of experience in the industry, will allow them to aggregate brands and IPs to monetize metaverse technologies seamlessly".

Ayre Ventures Founder, Calvin Ayre also expressed his excitement to collaborate with the start-up and stated, "Proud to support Transmira, an innovative start-up using the power and versatility of the BSV Enterprise Blockchain to explore exciting new ways for businesses to connect with consumers, particularly with younger demographics. Robert is a visionary with the drive to realize Omniscape's fusion of the physical and the virtual worlds' ”.
