AIA Group Limited, an insurance and finance corporation recently announced the promotion of Damien Tan as Chief Executive Officer for AIA Financial Advisors, Singapore. Tan joined AIA in 1996 and has been serving the company since then. He formerly led the Tied Distribution Strategy for AIA Singapore.

The recent promotion is following the appointment of Chin Chung Wen as Chief Distribution Officer for AIA Singapore, effective from October 1, 2021. Tan has succeeded Delon Choo, former CEO of AIA FA, Singapore. Choo will now head AIA Singapore as Chief Agency Officer. Tan will take over the role, September 1, 2021 onwards.

In his new role, Tan is entrusted to handle distribution and strategy, delivery of efficient services to clients and businesses along with enhanced customer experience. He will further channel his 23 years of extensive experience and leadership skills in driving the insurance company to the next growth & development phase. Using technology and digitization, Tan will work on transforming AIA FA's business and innovation strategies to render efficient services and expert advice to clients and customers globally.

Speaking on the recent promotion, Wong Sze Keed, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore talked about Tan's leadership skills, prior experience with AIA, his contributions across different segments including business development, operations, client management, and strategy. Keed, reiterating Tan's achievements, called him the right fit for the role.
