In 2022 alone, Layoffs.fyi reports that over 164,969 tech workers lost their jobs, a significant jump from 80,000 in 2020 and 15,000 in 2021. In November 2023 alone, 64 tech companies laid off 7,026 employees, indicating an upswing in tech layoffs over the past two months after reaching their low point in September 2023.
