NTUC LHUB names Jeremy Ong new CEO

NTUC LearningHub has announced the appointment of Jeremy Ong as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 5 November, almost a year after the sudden passing of former CEO Kwek Kok Kwong left the role tragically vacant.

Ong joins the union social enterprise from AXA Singapore, where he was previously Chief Customer and Operations Officer. It's not his first time working with organisations affiliated with the National Trades Union Congress, NTUC; before AXA, he was with NTUC Enterprise Group, the holding entity of NTUC LHUB and the other social enterprises under the NTUC umbrella. Prior to that, he spent several years as Chief Technology Officer & Head of Customer Operations at insurance provider NTUC Income.

Before his involvement with NTUC, Ong worked with various technology firms including BCS Information Systems, NCS Group and Singapore Computer Systems Limited. A significant amount of his experience in the sector focused on modernising technological systems and implementing digital transformation strategies.

NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng said, “Jeremy is no stranger to the Labour Movement family, and we are pleased to welcome him back as CEO of NTUC LearningHub. He brings with him a wealth of experience, leadership and a proven track record in key areas like digitalisation, technology, and people management. I look forward to working closely with Jeremy to help us drive NTUC LHUB’s business and workforce transformation programmes, so that our workers will continue to stay relevant and be future-ready; and our companies will meet their business objectives.”
