Colliers appoints new Australia CEO

Real estate services and investment management company Colliers International announced last week that it has appointed Malcom Tyson as CEO for the Australia business with immediate effect. He takes over from John Kenny, who was appointed CEO Asia Pacific at the beginning of 2020. Both of them will be based out of Sydney.

Tyson has been with Colliers for over 27 years, holding a variety of executive and operational roles. Prior to his latest appointment, he headed the New South Wales business and the Australian Industrial business for almost 15 years. He has been a member of the Australia and New Zealand Executive Leadership team since 2005.

Asia Pacific CEO Kenny said of Tyson's appointment: “Malcom is a proven, disciplined and trusted leader. He brings more than 30 years of real estate and business experience to the position and is regarded as a leader within the Australian property industry. His market knowledge and strong relationships with private investors, major Australian corporations and institutional clients meant he was the ideal choice to continue driving the future success of Colliers in Australia.”
