Vodafone names industry veteran Marika Auramo as CEO of Vodafone Business
Global telecom operator Vodafone has appointed Marika Auramo as the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Business, effective from July 1, 2024.
In her new role, Marika brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the global IT industry. She will also become a member of the group’s executive committee. She takes over from Giorgio Migliarina, who served as interim CEO since September 2023.
Most recently, Marika served SAP as the Chief Business Officer for the EMEA region, leading the go-to-market strategy and a global team of 14,000 employees across 89 countries. She joined SAP in 1998 and held several leadership roles, including COO EMEA North, Managing Director for the Nordic and Baltic region, Global COO of SAP in the US, and Interim President of the EMEA region.
Welcoming Marika to the leadership team, Margherita Della Valle, CEO of Vodafone Group, said, “I am delighted that Marika will be joining Vodafone to lead our Business division, a key growth driver. She brings extensive B2B experience from the IT industry, and I look forward to welcoming her as a member of our Executive Committee.”
