Standard Chartered Bank has hired Chow Wan Thonh from HSBC as the Head of Global Banking, Singapore.

She will be replacing Patrick Lee who was promoted to the position of StanChart’s Singapore franchise, last year. Thonh will focus on deepening the partnerships with the bank’s corporate and institutional clients in Singapore.

“Singapore is a core market for the bank,” said Lee adding that the island-nation is an international financial center and an entry point into the rest of Asian markets.

Thonh will report to Bharat Padmanabhan, Regional Head of Global Banking for ASEAN and South Asia.

“With her in-depth knowledge of the client segment and solid track record in driving team performance, I am confident that Wan Thonh will lead our team in Singapore to deliver strong results and build sustainable value for our clients,” said Lee.
