MassMutual appoints Cindy Ryan as Head of Human Resources

MassMutual, a US-based insurance and financial services company, has announced the appointment of Cindy Ryan as the Head of Human Resources, with immediate effect.

In her new role, Ryan brings over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector. She will be responsible for overseeing the people strategy, including fostering an inclusive culture, holistic well-being and growth of employees, as well as attracting and retaining a talented, diverse workforce. She recently served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at the Cigna Group. Prior to that, she worked with Cigna Healthcare where she held several leadership roles over two decades.

On the academic front, Ryan holds a BS degree in Management from SUNY Geneseo and a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations (MILR) degree in HR from Cornell University. Her core competencies include talent acquisition and management, total rewards, HR operations, employee relations, learning and development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
