John Wood Group appoints Marla Storm as CHRO

Before being named CHRO of Wood, Marla Storm worked with Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, as CHRO for its buildings, civils, and investments business in the US.
John Wood Group appoints Marla Storm as CHRO

John Wood Group PLC has announced the appointment of Marla Storm as CHRO. Wood has also announced Michael Rasmuson as Group General Counsel. Both appointments are effective from January 2. Both leaders will be based in Texas, the US and report to Wood’s CEO.

Marla has succeeded Lesley Birse as CHRO who is set to retire, while Michael will succeed Wood’s current Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Martin McIntyre, who will remain as Company Secretary until a successor for this role is appointed.

Marla Storm joins Wood from Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, where she was CHRO for its buildings, civils, and investments business in the US. Before this, she held HR leadership positions at Boeing and McKesson.

Michael Rasmuson joins Wood from Nabors Industries, a global provider of advanced technology for the energy industry where he was SVP, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. Having started his career as a private practice lawyer, Michael was formerly a long-term leader at Baker Hughes, one of the world’s largest energy services companies.
