Kelly Young, CHRO of media analytics company Isentia, is a seasoned HR leader with a deep experience in people strategy and organisational transformation. 

Her focus at Isentia is to develop and deliver people strategy across the Asia Pacific group and lead a People and Culture Team across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

Kelly’s HR career started in 1999 as an HR Manager of DIC Australia, a position she held for five years. In 2004, she joined Fairfax Media, where she spent the majority of her inspiring HR career.

Kelly spent her first five years with Fairfax Media as HR Director for the Sydney Publishing and Financial Review Group. She then transitioned to become HR Director for Fairfax Media’s Metropolitan Media, Financial Review Group, and Corp Services.

Young became HR Director for the Australian Publishing Media group, a position she held from 2013 to 2015. 

During her stint with Fairfax, she worked with diverse groups including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Australian Financial Review, and even the company’s digital brand teams.

Young spent 10 years with Fairfax Media, where she played a key role in change and business transformation and crafting a people strategy for integrating the print and digital businesses. 

One of the highlights of Kelly’s tenure at Fairfax Media is the role she played in diversity initiatives, such as the Fairfax Media program Women of Influence.

After Fairfax Media, Kelly moved to Bauer-Media to become the company’s People & Culture Director in 2015. There, she still played key roles in leading transformation and building capabilities across both traditional and digital media.
