Eng Poo-Jiuan joins Schaeffler as Senior Vice President of Human Resource Asia Pacific

Schaeffler, one of the leading global suppliers to the automotive and industrial sectors has appointed of Poo-Jiuan Eng as Senior Vice President of Human Resources Asia Pacific. Based, in Singapore, Eng will oversee close to 6000 employees across 18 markets, while providing the necessary resource to ensure operational excellence and drive the overall HR strategy within the Asia Pacific region. 

Eng brings more than 25 years of Human Resources regional experience in various industrial verticals, including Aviation, Energy, Oil, and Gas. Before joining Schaeffler, she was working as the Regional HR Director of Baker Hughes – a New York Stock Exchange-listed energy technology company. There, she has led several HR reorganisation efforts, including integrating GE Oil & Gas business with Baker Hughes and HR transformation efforts that supported the company’s business transitions. 

She has also been associated with GE Power, as the Regional HR Business Partner, where she played an active role in implementing HR strategies to support the organisation’s strategic business growth and talent development. She was also actively involved in the enterprise’s Women’s Network and Volunteers’ organization.

Eng’s appointment comes as Schaeffler Asia Pacific continues to strengthen its diversity management strategy and employee engagement in the region. The organization recently introduced its Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) council to provide the necessary structures in anchoring diversity management over the long term.
