Nestle Malaysia gets it new CEO as Alois Hofbauer quits

Juan Aranols, currently the CFO for Nestlé Group’s Zone Asia, Oceania and Sub-Saharan Africa will be replacing Alois Hofbauer as CEO of Malaysia, with effect from Dec 1, 2018. 

Juan joined Nestle in 1990 as an auditor for Nestle Spain and since then he has held many roles across a number of different markets in Europe and Latin America, in his 28 years with the company.

Juan shared that for him Nestlé Malaysia is a company with a “long history and great future prospect.” He said,“ I am both humbled and excited to be given the opportunity to take this organization forward, building on the strong foundations laid by my predecessor and his team.”

The leaving CEO, Alois was also all praises for the company and expressed that he is proud of the team, which has “reignited growth” and achieved solid results year after year. He exclaimed, “I am confident that this success will continue, and I wish Aranols all the best in his new role.”

Before leading the financial agenda for Nestlé Group’s Zone Asia, Oceania and Sub-Saharan Africa, Juan has been the CFO for Nestle Argentina from 2003 to 2005, CFO of Nestle Dominicana from 2005 to 2007 and CFO of Nestle Iberian Region from 2007 to 2012. As per his LinkedIn profile, Juan began his journey as CFO for Zone Asia, Oceania and Sub-Saharan-Africa in November 2015. 

Juan is an alumnus of The University of Barcelona (UB), from where he graduated in 1990. Since then he has been working with Nestle
