Joonko, an HR tech start-up raises $10 million in Series A funding

Joonko, an Israel based Human Resources technology start-up which connects candidates from underrepresented segments to job recruiters, recently raised $10 million in series A funding. Vertex Ventures, with its first ever start-up investment, led the funding round with special emphasis on social justice. The recent capital raise is followed by Joonko's 2019 seed funding round, which raised $2.4 million.

Talking about the fresh capital raise, Ilit Raz, CEO and Co-founder, Joonko revealed the company's long term objectives to provide diverse talents and tools to create an inclusive workplace environment, to the Human Resources sector of companies.

Joonko functions on a simple idea to provide qualified candidates to companies. The company aids recruiting companies to achieve equity, diversity and inclusion aspects by listing pre-approved and pre-qualified individuals belonging to diminished communities. It focuses on cutting down recruiters' time in sourcing and validation processes, to look for relevant and qualified candidates. Joonko, founded in 2017 uses an AI powered algorithm to implement its goals in finding adequate job vacancies matching with relevant talents.

The Human Resources Tech company, presently hosts a talent pool of around 100,000 candidates, all from diminished or underrepresented segments of the job seekers community. With the recent capital raise, the company focuses on implementing its long term goals, using the AI-powered algorithm to help recruiters find qualified candidates for the required job and save their time.
