Dentsu International elevates Luke Speers to headline HR for the APAC

Dentsu International, a multimedia conglomerate, has elevated Dentsu ANZ’s Luke Speers to APAc region’s new Chief People Officer. It's another milestone in Speers’ Dentsu journey, which started as Head of Talent in 2016 at the ANZ office.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Dentsu ANZ Angela Tangas said, “Over the last 2 years, Luke has been a brilliant partner to myself and our broader leadership team, supporting our evolution and sustainable growth by focusing on the single most important ingredient – our talented humans by attracting, retaining and enhancing our diverse and inclusive team of thinkers, makers, and doers. He is passionate about people and how we deliver the best people experiences possible [will help him] create a positive lasting impact.”

She also noted that his APAC remit will enable him across all markets, building on their focus to not only grow and nurture the current and next generation talent and expand the idea of  borderless teaming.

Prior to Dentsu, Speers spent several years in consulting with Michael Page, MitchelLake and Telstra, before moving into Human Resources at iSelect, where he worked across roles as Head of Resourcing and Head of People.

Commenting on his appointment, Luke Speers said on linkedin, “After six years with Dentsu ANZ, I am proud to now be leading our dentsu international APAC HR Community. With over 200+ HR humans across APAC, I am truly looking forward to partnering with a region that offers so much opportunity, growth and most importantly, incredible talent.”
