Renault is likely to finalize a new CEO

Renault is on the verge of finalizing the shortlist of names for the post of their new Chief Executive Officer and could complete the shortlist before the end of this year, shared the Chairman of the company, Jean-Dominique Senard.

According to a media report, the carmaker is likely to announce the new CEO in a very short space of time.

It can be recalled that Renault ousted former CEO Thierry Bollore in October, with Renault and its Japanese partner Nissan’s CEO was arrested but the board decided that Carlos Ghosn would remain the Chief Executive, but will be "temporarily incapacitated" following his arrest in Japan over financial misconduct charges.

We earlier reported that according to Nissan, they have been conducting an internal investigation over the past several months regarding misconduct involving Carlos and Director Greg Kelly. As per their findings, over many years both Carlos and Kelly have been reporting compensation amounts in the Tokyo Stock Exchange securities report that were less than the actual amount, in order to reduce the disclosed amount of Carlos Ghosn’s compensation.
