Ng Wei Wei, Head of Wholesale Banking promoted to Deputy CEO by UOB Malaysia

United Overseas Bank (UOB) Malaysia has appointed Ng Wei Wei, Head of Wholesale Banking as Deputy CEO, effective July 1st. In her new role, Ng will be assisting Wong Kim Choong, CEO, in fulfilling UOB's business goal to strengthen performance, quick redressal to customers, as well as its franchise growth across Asia.

With over 25 years of experience in Banking, Finance and Management across Asia, Ng retains her position as Head of Wholesale Banking at UOB. Ng continues to be part of UOB's Foreign direct investment advisory, Islamic Banking and Labuan offshore business, as stated by the bank.

As a newly appointed Deputy CEO of UOB, Ng is entrusted with handling Retail Banking including Personal Financial Services and Business Banking channels and digitalisation as well as services related to Risk Management.

Ng, being a homegrown talent, joined UOB in 2000 and worked in corporate banking till 2006. She has also worked for and held a number of leading roles at different financial institutions and Banks in Malaysia including HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, and Malaysian International Merchant Bankers. Ng has almost over 2 decades of extensive experience in relationship management, portfolio as well as revenue and account management of corporate, SME clients, public listed companies, and multinational companies. She is a graduate with Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Monash University of Melbourne, along with a double major in Accounting and Management.
