Heidrick Consulting appoints new APAC-ME lead

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles announced earlier this week that Dr Markus Wiesner has been appointed Regional Managing Partner for Heidrick Consulting, the firm's consultancy arm, in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions with effect from March 1. He takes over from Ian Johnston, the previous APAC consulting lead.

Wiesner, who is based between Dubai and Singapore, has 20 years' consulting experience, the bulk of it in the Middle East. He was previously the Managing Partner of Heidrick Consulting's global growth markets business from 2016 to 2020. Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, he was CEO of Aon Hewitt's Middle East and Africa businesses, and prior to that he was Managing Director of Mercer Consulting in the Middle East.

In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing the go-to-market strategy and operating model for the firm’s Asia Pacific business, while continuing to lead its operations in the Middle East and emerging markets.
