Andre Soelistyo steps down as GoTo CEO; Patrick Walujo named successor

GoTo Group CEO Andre Soelistyo is set to resign from his position, a decision that follows his recent efforts to enhance the profitability of the Indonesian internet company.

Patrick Walujo, the managing partner of private equity firm Northstar Group, will take over as his successor, the company said.

In 2023, Sugito Walujo was appointed as a Commissioner of GoTo. Sugito, who co-founded and serves as a managing partner of the Northstar Group, an early investor in Gojek, brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Prior to co-founding the Northstar Group in 2003, he held the position of Senior Vice President at Pacific Century Ventures Ltd. in Tokyo from 2000 to 2003, where he played a crucial role in the firm's mergers, acquisitions, and corporate business development. Sugito began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. in London and New York from 1997 to 2000.

To streamline cut costs, GoTo implemented workforce reductions, eliminating 600 positions in March. This follows the 1,300 job cuts made in 2022.
