Warner Bros. Discovery appoints Lisa Collins as Vice President DEI for North America

Warner Bros. Discovery, a leading media and entertainment conglomerate, has appointed Lisa Collins as its Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for North America.

Collins will be managing the workplace DEI initiatives under the leadership of Asif Sadiq, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer of WBD. 

Welcoming Collins to the leadership team, Sadiq said, “With more than 60 years of combined experience, this new and expanded senior leadership team epitomizes the incredible talent we have at WBD. Their passion and dedication for our employees, brands and content will further drive our success as we continue the important work of establishing WBD as an industry leader in the DEI space and creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for our colleagues, our partners and our industry.”

Collins currently holds the position of Head of People Partners, Production (formerly WarnerMedia). In her previous roles, she served as Director of Human Resources - Production at Netflix, Director of Human Resources - Telepictures at Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies, and HR Manager at Morgan Stanley. With over 15 years of experience in entertainment and media, retail, and financial services, she brings a wealth of expertise to her current role.

Collins conveyed her enthusiasm for her new position, stating, "I am delighted to be part of the DEI team. Under Asif's guidance, the DEI organisation has become a stellar representation of WBD's dedication to training, retaining, and promoting talented colleagues from within the company. I am devoted to this influential approach and to furthering our DEI initiatives, ensuring that our employees feel a strong sense of belonging and enthusiasm as they build their careers here."

The organisation has entrusted Collins with the new role to create and implement internal DEI programmes, including designing business unit-specific programs focused on recruitment, retention, progression, performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement; working with executives in the region to further embed DEI in all areas of WBD’s operations; and shepherding the growth of WBD’s Business Resource Groups, as stated in an official statement released on July 26, 2023. 

In addition to Collins's appointment, the organisation has announced the transition of several executives to new roles on the DEI senior leadership team:

  • Christian Hug will now serve as Group Vice President of DEI International
  • Yvette Latour will take over as Vice President of DEI Workforce and Strategy, 
  • Claire Brody will be serving as Director of DEI for EMEA.
