Swiss watch brand Rolex names Nicolas Brunschwig as chairman

Nic Brunschwig has been appointed as Rolex's new chairman, succeeding Bertrand Gros. He was appointed to the post in August; however, this was officially announced on November 17.

Brunschwig’s predecessor Gros resigned last July after a 15-year tenure at the company. He was instrumental in shaping Rolex into the multibillion-dollar juggernaut it is today. Most notably, Gros named Jean-Frédéric Dufour as CEO of Rolex in 2015.

The new chairman of the luxury Swiss brand has been on Rolex’s board since 2016. Headed by chief executive officer Jean-Frederic Dufour, the company produces about 1 million watches a year, including the well-known Daytona, Submariner and Datejust models.  Brunschwig was earlier a trustee of the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation.
