Ryan McCurdy to lead Lenovo North America as Senior VP

Lenovo Group, a global electronics company, has appointed Ryan McCurdy as its Senior Vice President and President for overseeing business operations in North America. He will take over this role effectively from September 1, 2023, and lead business across devices, infrastructure, and services and solutions under the supervision of Matt Zielinski, EVP and President of International Markets. 

Announcing the appointment as an exciting chapter for the company’s expansion, impact and transformation, Zielinski stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to our Lenovo family. His passion for tech and deep expertise across operations, strategy, and major account sales are a perfect fit to lead the North America business and will undoubtedly drive and propel the region to new heights.”

Before assuming his new role, McCurdy served Intel for over 23 years, holding a leadership position as Vice President and General Manager of Global Accounts. He strategic customer engagements, revenue generation, design win pipeline, collaborative marketing efforts, and sales activities for Intel's most substantial and strategically crucial clients. His responsibilities extended to nearly half of Intel's approximately $60 billion revenue, overseeing a diverse range of customers in areas spanning Commercial & Consumer, Workstation, Server, Networking, Cloud, Edge & IoT. Additionally, he adeptly managed teams comprising application and sales engineers, as well as inside and outside sales development personnel, across the Americas, EMEA, PRC, and Asia Pacific markets. 

McCurdy will take over from Vlad Rozanovich, former VP for Lenovo NA business since 2021. In June, Vlad moved on to lead Lenovo’s infrastructure business, a go-to-market strategy and sales across international markets. 

Recently, McCurdy announced his exit from Intel on LinkedIn stating, “After nearly 24 years at Intel Corporation, I'm leaving with gratitude for the journey. From a two-year plan, it turned into a fulfilling and productive run. I met my wife there, had 10 roles, 15 managers, travelled to 30+ countries, and treasure countless memories. Intel's A+ people made it a Great Place To Work (GPTW), and I'm excited for what's ahead while appreciating the incredible journey.”

In February 2023, Lenovo India announced a leadership change for integrated operations and service delivery. This rejig included the elevation of Nitin Garg to Director and Head of Services Support, and Saurabh Agrawal to Director for Integrated Operations.
