Pinnacle Oil & Gas names Robert Dickerman as CEO

Pinnacle Oil & Gas Limited has named Robert Dickerman as its new Chief Executive Officer, in a statement released after a board meeting held on August 10, 2023. 

Nasir Ado Bayero, Chairman of Pinnacle Oil & Gas stated, “The appointment is based on Robert Dickerman’s experience and stellar performance during his tenure as chief operating officer and subsequently as managing director and acting CEO.” 

Dickerman, who possesses more than 30 years of experience as a senior energy executive, will be taking over responsibility from Dr Peter Mbah, who is now Enugu State governor. 

Before assuming his new role, Dickerman held a key role as Managing Director and CEO of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, COO of Marubeni Power and CEO of Sempra Energy Solutions and Edison Source of Edison International. Before that, he was also the Director of Global Energy Strategy at KMPG Advisory and President of Zenergy Capital Inc. 

Dickerman holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management at the University of Chicago and a BSc degree from Union College. His expertise spans strategy, development, operations, performance management and corporate governance, according to his profile on LinkedIn. 

Before Dickerman’s appointment, the oil and gas company has also named two executive director appointments, Adenike Labinjo as the COO, and Sunday Anyaogu as the CFO. 

At the board meeting, the executive members praised Peter Mbah, the company's founder, for his groundbreaking initiative and significant contributions to advancing the industry, elevating it to a position of utmost leadership in the downstream oil sector.
