OYO Hotels & Homes strengthen senior leadership

 OYO Hotels & Homes has announced the appointment of two key hires for its international operations. OYO Hotels & Homes appoints Shella NG as General Counsel of OYO China and Erica Briody as Vice President, Talent Acquisition - International. 

These appointments come as a part of the company’s efforts to continue to invest in and attract world-class leadership, to drive accelerated growth in one of its home markets - China - as well as international markets. 

Shella NG joins as the General Counsel of OYO China and will be a key member of OYO Jiudian leadership board. She will be responsible for end-to-end support on all strategic and inorganic initiatives, contract management, dispute resolution, litigation management, setting up risk and compliance framework and policy advocacy. A veteran with a rich corporate-in house experience, Shella is a qualified solicitor in both Hong Kong and England & Wales. She was one of the founding members at Yum! Brands, Inc and headed Division Counsel of Yum Brands, Inc. leading the legal function for their KFC and Pizza Hut businesses in Greater China.

 Most recently, she was the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Board of Directors of Yum China Holdings, Inc., an independent company listed on the New York Stock Exchange after it was spun off from Yum Brands, Inc. OYO Jiudian (Hotel) in China is now the Middle Kingdom’s second-largest hotel chain and has footprints across 320 cities with nearly 10,000 hotels and 450,000 rooms. 

Erica Briody joins OYO as Vice President, Talent Acquisition - International. She brings with her a rich experience in recruiting diverse talent across APAC, UK, EMEA, and the United States. She was previously Head of Talent for General Electric; VP of Recruitment Process Outsourcing for IBM and Managing Director of her own executive search firm based in Miami, Florida. 

An accredited GE Six Sigma Greenbelt, Erica was most recently Global Head of Talent Acquisition for Novartis and Quintiles. She was also recently awarded one of the top Women HR Leaders for Technology in 2018 and has been awarded the ‘HRO Superstar' Award for innovation in the past.
