Chubb initiates leadership changes in APAC

Chubb, the casualty insurance company, has appointed Edward Kopp, the current Country President of the organization’s general insurance business in Thailand as the Senior Vice President, Accident & Health.

Kopp will be heading the management and development of the health, accident, and travel insurance business in the region. He will be reporting to Paul McNamee, Regional President of Chubb in APAC and John Thompson, Division President, International Accident & Health.

With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Kopp has a stellar record of creating profitable and sustainable businesses. Kopp was also the Country President of Chubb’s general insurance business in Korea and leadership positions with HSBC and Cigna.

Andrew Nisbet will be taking over Kopp’s role in Thailand. At present, Nisbet is the Senior Vice President Accident & Health, UK & Ireland, Eurasia & Africa. Having started his time at Chubb in 2006 in New Zealand, he has a record of growing the accident, health and travel portfolios across various countries.

“These leadership changes demonstrate the depth of talent Chubb has available to ensure we sustain our growth momentum in the Asia Pacific,” said McNamee. “Andrew has a hands-on proactive, innovative and results-oriented executive; qualities which will position as well in Thailand, one of the most dynamic businesses in the region. Ed is a seasoned professional with demonstrated strong technical proficiency, leadership and business development skills. We’re pleased to elevate Ed into this important regional role.”
