Boeing names Uma Amuluru as CHRO after Michael D'Ambrose exits

Boeing, the US-based aerospace company, has announced the appointment of Uma Amuluru as the Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President of Human Resources, effective from April 1.

In her new role, Uma will be responsible for talent planning, global talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee and labour relations, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. She will take over from Michael D'Ambrose, who is retiring in July after more than three years at the company. In his 40 years of service, Michael has worked at Archer Daniels Midland, Toys R Us, First Data Corp, Citigroup, Westwood One, The Travelers Mortgage, and Ingersoll Rand.

Uma started working at Boeing in 2017 as the Senior Counsel and has since taken on various leadership roles. These roles include VP and Assistant General Counsel, VP and Chief Compliance Officer of Global Compliance, and VP and Assistant General Counsel of Boeing Defense, Space, and Security, all within the past seven years. Prior to Boeing, she served in senior roles as a federal prosecutor at the United States Attorney's Office, U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the White House Counsel, and Kirkland and Ellis. On the academic front, Uma holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Duke University and a Doctor of Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
