WeWork strengthens Singapore growth with three new locations

WeWork—a platform for creators that provides the space and community, announces the official launch of its new space at 9 Battery Road in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD). As part of the company’s growth trajectory in Singapore, WeWork will also be opening two new locations beyond the city’s traditional CBD at 83 Clemenceau Road and 30 Prinsep Street in December 2019.

With Singapore as a key hub in Southeast Asia that has gained optimal performance, the addition of these three new locations in core CBD and beyond adds to its portfolio of vibrant, strategically-located collaborative spaces in Singapore.

WeWork entered the region through the acquisition of Spacemob and its leadership, where the first location in the region at WeWork Beach Centre was opened in December 2017.

WeWork will be celebrating its two-year anniversary this coming December 2019 with a 1 strong footprint across five other markets, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Scaling further to meet members’ demand.

“We look forward to achieving greater heights together with WeWork as we continue our growth trajectory,” said Jonathan Tahir, Chairman, MYP Ltd. WeWork 9 Battery Road occupies the prime commercial MYP Centre building, situated in Singapore’s financial hub that offers members views of Marina Bay through an additional rooftop terrace.

As the first location in Singapore to feature a mini-golf playzone, WeWork 9 Battery Road welcomes members ranging from global enterprises — Armstrong Asset Management, a private equity investor focused on Southeast Asia's renewable energy assets, and EventBank, a leading cloud-based event and membership management software company.
