CLSA CEO steps down after three decades

CLSA CEO steps down after three decades

The Chief Executive Officer is quitting after thirty years of service at the Hong Kong brokerage owned by China’s state-owned Citic Securities, adding to an exodus of senior executives.

Jonathan Slone’s resignation at CLSA follows a similar move by Tang Zhenyi, the Chairman. Nigel Beattie, its chief operating officer, is also leaving, according to a report from Financial Times.

Slone joined CLSA in 1988 as regional research director and oversaw CLSA's global operations in broking, investment banking, asset management, research, and sales. He also led the firm's overseas expansion and set up its U.S. operations in 1991.
