RedDoorz appoints Regional VP HR, CMO & COO

One of the Southeast Asia’s largest and fastest-growing online hotel management and booking platform, RedDoorz has appointed Chief Operating Officer, Regional Vice President – Human Resource, and Chief Marketing Officer.

Kelvin Teo takes on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) where he will oversee the regional business operations for RedDoorz, after 20 years of experience in the technology industry in value creation and scaling businesses. Bringing with her almost two decades of HR experience with notable global corporations like Accenture and Pactera, Trixie Thye comes onboard as Regional Vice President – Human Resources. Lastly, currently the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Liviu Nedef has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective immediately. In his new role, Liviu will continue to lead the company’s marketing, communications, and business-to-consumer (B2C) functions.

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Kelvin Teo will oversee the business and operations for RedDoorz across the region. Kelvin brings with him 20 years of experience in the tech and online industries. Prior to RedDoorz, he served as Managing Director for Groupon Asia and as Chief Business Officer for Southeast Asia’s leading finance portal, MoneySmart Group. “I am thrilled to join the RedDoorz team in this new adventure and look forward to growing our presence across the region. Amit and the team have done a brilliant job building RedDoorz into a strong leadership position and we will continue to strengthen our position and unlock value for both our customers and hotel partners,” shared Kelvin.

As Regional Vice President – Human Resources, Trixie Thye brings almost two decades of experience with notable global corporations such as Accenture. Most recently, she was the Regional HR Vice President and Business Partner with Beijing-headquartered IT consulting and outsourcing company, Pactera. “I am proud to be part of a growing, innovative company like RedDoorz. Today’s economic and social environment poses additional challenges for organisations of all sizes and I’m happy to see that RedDoorz is working hard to ensure its people, talent and culture strategies play a central role in the business direction,” shared Trixie. How Trixie helps strengthen these talent strategies is to look forward to. 

Liviu Nedef will continue to play a key role on RedDoorz’s leadership team as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), where he leads the company’s marketing, communications, and direct business-to-consumer (B2C) sales efforts. He will continue to focus on making RedDoorz become the preferred hospitality brand in Southeast Asia and accelerate its mobile-first customer strategies. RedDoorz recently became the top most considered hotel brand for consumers in Indonesia by YouGov BrandIndex. 

With these key appointments, RedDoorz looks to further stregthen its position in the region. Across the region, RedDoorz currently operates a network of more than 1,800 properties in over 150 cities, spanning Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand. Only time will tell how the new leaders help the online hotel management and booking platform in its next phase of growth, especially in the time of pandemic, when travel and hosipitality sectors suffers the most.
