Kurt Bonnici, as Head of Motorola for Australia and New Zealand will be spearheading the further expansion of the company with a special focus on the 5G sector.
Motorola appoints Kurt Bonnici as Head of Australia & NZ

Kurt Bonnici has been appointed as the Head of Motorola for Australia and New Zealand. He will be based in Melbourne where he will work with retail and carrier partners to drive the expansion of the company, especially in the 5G sector. He is greatly skilled at Business Development, Mobile Communications, Go-to-market Strategy, Sales Management, and Strategic Partnerships, with a proven working experience in the telecommunications industry. He became a part of Motorola in 2017 when he was appointed as Account Director and then moved on to become Business Development Manager in 2019. 

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the Motorola business and continue its strong growth trajectory across the region,” said Bonnici.

“At a time where consumer technology plays a significant role in driving the wider availability of 5G, I am excited to take our smartphone offerings to the next level and bring the power of 5G innovation to the forefront of everyday lives.”

Bonnici was previously working at ANZ as Business Development Manager. Before that, he was also Group Marketing Director at Consol Group APAC. He worked as National Project Manager at Microsoft from 2014 to 2016. At Nokia, he held positions like Product and Technology Marketing Manager from 2010 to 2011, National Partner Manager – Telstra where he was responsible for achieving business targets through effective and consistent relationship management and customer engagement from 2011 to 2014, and National Training Manager from 2007 to 2010. He was also awarded Nokia Australia Employee of the year, 2011. He was Account Executive at GAP Communications from 2002 to 2004 and Retail Developmental Manager at Creative Field Marketing from 2004 to 2007. He also holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering from Box Hill Institute of Tafe.
