HCL Technologies appoints Masayuki Nakayama as Country Head, Japan

IT & Tech company HCL Technologies has announced the appointment of Masayuki Nakayama as the Country Head of HCL Technologies in Japan. The announcement comes at a time when HCL has set up initiatives for more than 1,98,000 ideapreneurs operating out of 52 countries.

Commenting on Nakayama’s appointment, Swapan Johri, President, Growth Markets, HCL Technologies said,"As a major contributor to the world’s IT industry, Japan is an important strategic high growth market for HCL Technologies, We are delighted to have Nakayama as our leader to strengthen relationships with Japanese customers and drive our business growth. With a strong track record, I am confident he will make a significant impact to the digital transformation needs of our Japanese customers."

Nakayama brings a proven portfolio of more than three decades of experience in driving IT and business transformation for large corporations. Prior to HCL, he has leadership roles at IBM Japan, TCS Japan and Japan Post Holdings. With the combination of skills and experience, he will be responsible for driving growth in the Japanese market and for supporting clients with their business transformation.  

Masayuki Nakayama, Country Head,  HCL said, “HCL Technologies has been present in the Japan market for more than 20 years, and I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all our customers and partners who have supported us in our growth over the years.”

He also added that they are committed to further evolving HCL’s capabilities in line with their customers’ digital transformation goals.
