A life science company, Bayer, recently announced the appointment of Karina Raeburn as Human Resources Head for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) effective from August 1st, 2021.

Delighted at joining the Human Resources team at Bayer, Karina Raeburn mentioned that it was an exciting time to be working at Bayer, a science-led company tackling some of the world’s toughest challenges to contribute to health for all and hunger for none. Visibly proud of this mission, she said that they are a newly constituted HR Team with an agenda focused on people and culture. The team is passionate about delivering exceptional employee experiences. As the Head HR, Raeburn will lead the team and contribute to people strategy, talent management, and strategic growth planning skills.

With over 18 years of experience, Karina has handled leadership and managerial roles in the past. She’s well versed in developing and executing people strategy, performance management, talent management and learning and development. Her expertise also extends to cultural change management and diversity and inclusion implementation. Formerly with Baker and McKenzie for more than seven years, she’s directly handled a number of roles including HR Business Partner, Talent Management Consultant and Manager for Talent, OD and Diversity; at KPMG as HR Business Partner, Australia; Herbert Smith Freehills as HR and Learning and Development Consultant.

Karina has done her formal education in Australia and is also qualified with a number of certifications and licenses including LSI, GSI, OCI, OEI and CSS from Human Synergistics, Australia and ANZ.

Bayer, a life sciences company primarily works around the core competencies in the areas of healthcare and agriculture. In the pandemic-led era, the company's focus is on providing solutions to some of the major problems faced around the globe. With this new appointment, the company is looking to grow internationally, amplify its user base, and enhance employee and shareholder participation along with better experience.
