Beaumont appoints Chief Compliance officer, CHRO Aaron Gillingham resigns

Beaumont ropes in former Corporate Counsel and Market Vice President at MercyOne, Gina Arnett Thompson as new Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. The appointment is following Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Aaron Gillingham's departure from Beaumont.

Beaumont Health, a US based hospital has appointed Gina Arnett Thompson as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. Thompson formerly worked at MercyOne as Market Vice President, Corporate Counsel. She will hold the office at Beaumont from early October.

Thompson, a leader and a healthcare veteran, has amassed almost three decades of experience in the health care, medical, legal and regulatory sector. She worked as a registered nurse for over 10 years gaining operational and clinical experience. She also has 20 years of experience working as an attorney and a leader in the legal, compliance and regulatory sector.

The recent appointment follows Aaron Gillingham's exit from the company, effective October 11, 2021. Gillingham had been serving Beaumont as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Interim Chief Compliance Officer. He will be joining UnityPoint Health following his departure as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. An internal as well as external search is ongoing for a new Chief Human Resources Officer.

While Gina leads compliance, Lisa Ouellette, present Vice President of Human Resources will be working as an Interim Chief Human Resources Officer.

John Fox, Beaumont Health CEO, on Aaron's departure said, “Aaron provided strategic support across all Human Resources functions including talent management, total rewards, employee health and safety, HR operations, and diversity, equity and inclusion. During the past 18 months, Aaron has led HR through many challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including launching the Employee Resource Center".
