Leap Scholar has announced the appointment of Zuhaib Khan as the Vice President for International Expansion at the edtech platform.
Prior to Leap Scholar, Zuhaib was the CEO of Apeejay Stya group’s education vertical. There he led the Group's international expansion across 10+ countries. Zuhaib has over a decade of operating experience in building businesses across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East in the E-commerce, Ed-Tech, and Travel sectors. His burgeoning portfolio includes stint at Shopatplaces, JP Morgan, Casa Capital and experience as an angel investor.
The announcement comes at a time when the San Francisco headquartered company has kick-started plans to expand in the Middle East. The startup recently raised over $75 million in venture capital from Sequoia Capital, Owl Ventures, Jungle Ventures, and Harvard Management Company among others. The execution of the plans would be headlined by Zubair himself.
Commenting on Zuhaib’s appointment and expansion in the Middle East, Vaibhav Singh, Co-founder, Leap Scholar said, “We are thrilled to have Zuhaib on board. As per the plan, Leap Scholar’s offerings will be available to students from ME countries such as the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. Students will be able to avail free access to masterclasses and sessions led by top educators from the industry.
