Parsons names Susan Balaguer as new Chief HR Officer

Susan Balaguer has been appointed Parson’s Chief HR Officer. She will lead and develop all HR operations while also focusing on D&I as part of her role.
Parsons names Susan Balaguer as new Chief HR Officer

Parsons has appointed Susan Balaguer as the company’s Chief HR Officer and will also serve as a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. Susan is being counted on to deliver on HR capabilities from both strategic and operational perspectives. 

In this new role, Susan will be working with Carey Smith,  President, and CEO of Parsons. Expressing her excitement at joining Parsons, Susan said that she is looking forward to focusing on further developing and recognizing Parsons’ highly capable workforce who are critical to everyday business.

Diversity being fundamental to the culture, Susan is elated to be in a role that will be central to making employee engagement and experience more inclusive. 

Susan comes with considerable experience and has led major HR verticals across the board at one time or another.  She has implemented recruiting and talent development programs, organised successful mergers and acquisition activities, and developed world-class HR teams.  Automation of HR processes, revamping company-wide compensation policies and programs are also skills that she brings to the table. Most of her roles, this new one included are centred around driving employee engagement and satisfaction. Her deep understanding of the industry is not to be overlooked and is perhaps one of the biggest reasons why Parsons’ chose her to spearhead their HR division. 

With over 30 years of HR experience, Susan will also strengthen Parson’s culture and focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

Her notable career so far boasts of prominent organisations like SERCO Inc, Engility Corporation, CACI International Inc, ASRC Federal, VT Group plc where she has held directorial and management roles.
