Keppel Corp appoints 5 new business unit leaders

Singapore-based conglomerate Keppel Corp today announced a slew of simultaneous leadership changes at its various business units. New leaders have been appointed to Keppel Land, Keppel Infrastructure, Keppel Capital, and Keppel DC REIT Management. All the new leaders are in their 40s, representing a full transition to next-generation leadership in tandem with the company's ongoing strategy to pivot its business, and all the appointments will become effective from February 15, 2021.

Keppel Land gets new CEO and new COO

Louis Lim has been appointed CEO of property arm Keppel Land, taking over from Tan Swee Yiow. He is currently Keppel Land's COO, and previously held several senior roles in other Keppel Corp business units. Prior to the Keppel companies, he was a partner at Bain & Company.

Taking over as COO will be Ben Lee, currently the President of Keppel Land's China business. Lee has been in the real estate industry for over 15 years, most of that time spent with Keppel Land's various China operations.

New CEO at Keppel Infrastructure

Cindy Lim has been appointed CEO of infrastructure arm Keppel Infrastructure, taking over from Dr Ong Tiong Guan. She is currently Director of Group Corporate Development at Keppel Corporation and concurrently Managing Director of Keppel Urban Solutions. Lim has been with Keppel for nearly 20 years, half of that time spent in leadership positions across the various business units. Come February 2021, she will step down from her position from Keppel Urban Solutions, but her successor has not yet been announced.

New COO at Keppel Capital

Bridget Lee has been appointed COO of investments and fund management arm Keppel Capital. She has over 20 years' experience in investment, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in investment companies and financial institutions in Asia and the US, including more than 12 years with Mapletree Investments and Temasek Holdings.

New CEO at Keppel DC REIT Management

Anthea Lee has been appointed CEO of Keppel DC REIT Management, taking over from Chua Hsien Yang subject to regulatory approval.

Loh Chin Hua, CEO of Keppel Corporation, said that the leadership succession had been planned for a long time, and that the new lineup of leaders had been closely involved in the development of the company's transformation strategy, Vision 2030, a long-term plan to pivot Keppel Corporation's business towards sustainable urbanization.

“Leadership renewal is key to the long-term success of any company," he said. "The next generation leaders are ready to take on bigger roles and I am confident that they will bring new ideas and perspectives to our business units and lead them on their growth trajectories in pursuit of Vision 2030.”
