US-based Modern Health announces appointment of Tableau executive Jesse Calderon as its new CTO

Calderon brings two decades of experience in software development and leadership in the tech industry to Modern Health’s technology organisation.
US-based Modern Health announces appointment of Tableau executive Jesse Calderon as its new CTO

San Francisco-based workplace mental health platform Modern Health has confirmed the appointment of its new CTO. According to the latest update shared by the company, industry veteran and former Tableau executive Jesse Calderon has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Mental Health.

In his new role, Calderon, who has nearly two decades of experience in software development and leadership roles, will oversee the company’s technology organisation.

Before joining Modern Health, Calderon served as Senior Vice President at Tableau, leading key engineering and product functions. Calderon also held leadership roles at SAP and Business Objects.

A Cognitive Science graduate from the University of California, San Diego and engineer by trade Calderon likes building innovative products that disrupt the status quo. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Program in Big Data from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada.

Previously, Calderon worked as an Advisory Board Member at the Professional Master's Program in Big Data at Simon Fraser University, Senior Director of Engineering at Tableau Software, Vice President at Technidata America, as Director with Business Objects and software developer at Infommersion.

Other hires made by Modern Health include Sam Hanna, Ph.D. who has joined as Vice President of Professional Services to establish a function that advises on services and solutions for its customer base.

Additionally, Modern Health recently announced four-time Grand Slam winner and Modern Health’s Chief Community Health Advocate, Naomi Osaka, as the opening keynote speaker for its virtual global industry conference Elevate scheduled to be held on September 7-8, 2022. It also kicked off its Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) partnership with the launch of the first installment of its five part video series “The Real Me '' profiling tennis champion Sloane Stephens and her journey with mental health.
