Samuel Koh appointed as Yeo’s Group CEO

Samuel Koh will be guiding the leading Asian drinks brand into the fast-expanding global market.
Samuel Koh appointed as Yeo’s Group CEO

Samuel Koh Chee Boon will be appointed as the Group CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng Ltd. Melvin Teo will be appointed as the Advisor to the group so that the transition is in an orderly manner as he plans to leave the group after July 13, 2020 to be succeeded in his role as the Group CEO by Samuel. 

A leading brand in the Asian drinks market, Yeo started out as a small enterprise in Singapore and has now gone global in the APAC region, Europe, North America etc.

“The Board is highly appreciative of Melvin’s leadership, and is delighted that Melvin has agreed to stay on as advisor until July 2020 for a seamless transition,” said Daryl Ng, Chairman (Designate) of the Board. “I would like to thank Melvin for leading the team of committed professionals over the past five years, and would like to welcome Samuel on board, who will bring valuable experience to the Group.” 

With an extensive experience working for Coca-Cola, Unilever, and Yum! Brands across various geographies, Samuel Koh, in his previous role was the VP, Coca-Cola Greater China and Korea business unit. He led the setting up of new business ventures while at the company and prior to that he worked in Coca-Cola ASEAN Business unit, Yum! Brands, and Unilvever. 

Over the past five years since Melvin Teo joined the company in 2015 as Executive Director, Melvin Teo has led the group through challenges, bolstered Yeo’s brand as a market leader even overseas, especially in Cambodia which now has  the capability to manufacturing Yeo’s products to serve locally.
