MuleSoft has appointed Rob Thorne as its new local head of APAC. This announcement comes after a year of MuleSoft, a business application network platform provider, being acquired by Salesforce,

Thorne will be replacing the former VP of APAC, Will Bosma who will transition into the role of VP of Japan. Having joined Salesforce in 2013 through the company’s acquisition of ExactTarget, Thorne fulfilled the role of the regional head of APAC--a role that he was in for the past five years.

As the local head of APAC, Thorne would be driving growth for MuleSoft across the region and help the company reach its goal of $1 Bn in revenue.

Thorne’s new role will also include driving growth from local customers such as Deakin University, Boral EnergyAustralia, Lane Crawford, New South Wales Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS), Bank of New Zealand etc.

The acquisition deal between Salesforce and MuleSoft was finalized in March 2018 wherein SalesForce acquired MuleSoft for about $6.5 Bn.
