US-based workplace mental health platform Modern Health has appointed Maureen Calabrese as Chief People Officer with effect May 2022, taking over from former Head of People Ashley Killick.
The appointment comes at a period when the company is increasing its employee base and investing heavily in driving growth, including launching a number of new products and earlier this month hiring tennis superstar Naomi Osaka to advocate for its community impact programme.
Calabrese joins Modern Health from social media management platform Sprout, where she had been Chief People Officer since 2017. Of her move, she said: "I first heard about Modern Health when we were investigating different mental health care support options at Sprout Social and I was immediately impressed with not only the platform but also the commitment and expertise from [CEO and founder] Alyson Watson and the entire team."
Prior to Sprout, Calabrese was the Chief People Officer at digital payments platform Raise and public relations services firm Cision. She also held leadership roles in the HR function at Ipsos and The Nielsen Company. At Modern Health, her remit will cover talent acquisition and development, employee experience, culture and inclusion, and people operations.
