BT Group names Athalie Williams as chief human resources officer
British Telecom (BT) Group has appointed Athalie Williams as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). Williams will join the executive team of the BT Group in December.
She will succeed Debbie White, who has been CHRO at BT Group since December 2021.
Williams comes with more than 30 years of experience in leading complex enterprise-wide organisations and workforce transformation programs to deliver business value. In her current role, she is serving BHP Foundation as director. She has been serving BHP for the last 15 years in various senior roles including vice president of HR.
Over Williams’ 15-year career at BHP, she has held several senior HR roles including vice president HR, Uranium and group HR manager executive resourcing and development, all prior to becoming chief people officer in 2007. Prior to BHP, Athalie was an organisational strategy and workforce transformation advisor with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and general manager, cultural transformation at NAB. She started her career as Senior Manager, human performance senior manager at Accenture in 1991 and served till 2005.
