Daniel Chia is an experience and passionate HR practitioner who is now heading the overall HR function for Samsung Asia Pte Ltd. He was previously the Head of HR and Corporate Affairs for Carlsberg Singapore, HR Manager and business Partner for Nestle Singapore.

A trained food scientist with experiences in food manufacturing, food packaging and new products development for FMCG products such as beer, chocolate malted beverage, culinary and infant cereals, he was the coordinator for Singapore Quality Class (SQC) and MAXA. With the inspiration for self-development and people management, Daniel took a career change in 2012 to join HR as Market Education and Training pillar leader for Malaysia and SINGAPORE markets. He is also a Certified Trainer with IPMA UK and certified coach with ICF. 

With the strong belief of giving back to the society and NUS Alma Mater, Danial is also the Chairperson for NUS Food Science Alumni Group and Deputy Chair for NUSS Human Capital Management Community of Practise.
