Randstad Sourceright have announced that Vaishali Shah will take on the role of first Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion for their managed services programs (MSP) practice in North America. This newly-created role will involve a concentration on driving more diversity and inclusion programs for Randstad’s contingent workforce and spurring cutting-edge change to build on the company’s established corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Shah is a seasoned HR professional, with over 20 years experience working in talent acquisition and consulting for McKinsey & Company, Adecco, Citi and Ericsson. Shah also founded FabAmerica, a corporate wellness and yoga programs company offering yoga and meditation workshops to working professionals, where she has been working the last 3 years.

Commenting on the news, Vaishali Shah said “Building agile, diverse, inclusive and welcoming workplaces should not only be limited to permanent hires. For a company to truly deliver on their diversity and inclusions strategies, it must encompass every type of talent – from temp to perm.” Shah added “I am thrilled to join the team at Randstad Sourceright to help our clients develop strategies to attract the best and most diverse contingent talent possible and ensure those individuals are able to bring their authentic selves to work every day.”

Sue Marcus, regional president of Total Talent Solutions for Randstad Sourceright said that “with heightened calls for social justice, business leaders have realized that diversity candidate sourcing and tracking must be applied in the contingent space. Organizations are leading more concerted efforts to build diverse and inclusive workforces, and it is critical that contingent, temporary and project-based employees are taken into account as well.” Marcus added that this newly-created role would allow Randstad Sourceright to “innovate and lead in the area of diversity and inclusion for contingent talent.”

“Vaishali's experience and depth in talent acquisition and corporate wellness make her the perfect person to lead our D&I initiatives for our industry leading MSP programs,” Marcus said.

The appointment comes at an exciting time for Randstad Sourceright. Back in October 2020, Michael Smith was appointed the company’s new Global CEO, a role that became effective on January 1st of this year. Last week, the company was also recognised as a “Leader” in Everest Group's “Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) - PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2021.”
